To Our Dear Clients,

We have had a terrific year in 2005 and have had the pleasure of working with many of you on your fine art projects whether it has been printing entire exhibitions or working on your more personal art pieces. As many of you are well aware, the photographic community has undergone tremendous change due to the advent of digital imaging. Many artists and photographers have come to me and expressed concern about the availability of traditional silver gelatin printing materials as well as the future of our services. I would like to reassure all of the artists who rely on us for archival film development, fine art book printing and exhibition printing that we are totally committed to continuing to provide you with the highest level of service and technical expertise possible. I feel very strongly that this medium has special aesthetic characteristics, which make it completely unique, and that it should remain an indispensable option for every artist and photographer.

While many labs have sadly gone out of business and many others have cut back on their traditional black and white services, we continue to expand our services such as 30x40 exhibition fiber based prints and specialty custom made emulsions, toners and developers. We have also expanded our fiber based paper selection so that it now includes Kentmere, Forte, Bergger, Cachet, Oriental, Illford and Agfa.

We are one of the few remaining labs to specialize exclusively on traditional black and white fine art exhibition printing and archival black and white processing and it is our intention to continually try our utmost to provide you with the best service possible. We love what we do, from mixing formulas from scratch to discussing aesthetic concerns with our clients and we hope it shows in our work.

I am personally very optimistic about the future of our traditional B&W medium and I plan on being here a very long time to s ervice your fine art needs. Please don’t hesitate to call or come by.
